West Park United Church of Christ Christan Education Ministry
We offer Sunday School every Sunday at 10:15 September – June for toddlers through 12th grade. The Sunday School curriculum follows the lectionary that is used in worship. During the summer months we have a Summer Learning Community which is a multi-aged themed program for grades K-5. Grades 6-12 meet together for discussion and learning. Confirmation Classes are formed every other year for 7th & 8th graders seeking full membership. This one-year program involves a book study and numerous activities and field trips. Our Youth Group provides a variety of activities to help our young people grow in their Christian walk through learning experiences and social activities. Our yearly All Church Retreat held in May allows respite from daily routine and the opportunity to worship and experience our Lord in the glorious setting of Templed Hills camp. This is a multi-generational experience open to all. In the fall the women have the opportunity to gather for a Women’s Retreat that provides spiritual, emotional and social growth and nurture. We offer Vacation Bible School each summer for ages 5-12 years and opportunities for youth leadership. This week is filled with experiencing Christ through song, action, mission, crafts, story telling, and friendships.
Also available is the opportunities for Summer Camp at Templed Hills or Pilgrim Hills with programming for all ages. We have Adult Bible Study every Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm. We offer Vacation Bible School every summer. We have a children's music program run by Romanina Campea, our Director of Youth and Children's Music Ministries We also have many Community Outreach Activities.
