The pipe organ was built in 1977 by the Schantz Organ Company of Orrville, Ohio. It has two manuals and 17 ranks. In 2004, the Lester Brothers of Akron upgraded the console with Petersen solid state technology and added a Trumpet stop to the Swell division. This past year, the blower motor was rebuilt due to worn bearings which were overheating the unit. This work was overseen by the Leek Pipe Organ Company of Oberlin, who currently acts as curator. The current organ has been registered with the Organ Historical Society.
The piano is a 1925 model A-long Steinway grand. It was donated to the church (the names of the benefactors can be found inside of the piano bench on a brass name plate) and remained in the parlor until it was moved to the sanctuary during former Director of Music/Organist Tim Peterson's tenure. In December of 2007, Alan Nemeth and Richard Salamone of Lakewood were contracted to complete necessary restoration work to the piano. Following the start of the Directorship of Mr. Clouser, a routine tuning and inspection of this instrument was ordered for the Steinway upright in the choir room and the sanctuary grand piano. Inspection results suggested that the sanctuary piano was badly in need of complete restoration. When the piano restoration is complete, a damp-chaser (heater and humidifier) and cover will be purchased to ensure the protection and longevity of the instrument for decades to come. Our piano was rededicated on April 6, 2008.
