Wendy LeForge, Director of Christian Education
Wendy LeForge was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, she grew up attending Salem United
Church of Christ.
She is a proud mother of two girls and two boys. Plus she has six beautiful grandchildren.
She has had a successful marketing background working in the Party Plan industry for
over 25 years. She has earned
a great deal of recognition including director of the year
and many trips around the world.
She felt called to Christian Education in 2001 at
The Silver Lake Church where she was a member. She served there part time over three years.
The next church she served full time, was Trinity United Church of Christ in Wadsworth, Ohio from January 2004
to November 2007.
She believes that she is called by God to this ministry. It is important to her to reach out
forming relationships in everything she does, she is every-body's friend!
Some call it networking, she thinks of it as forming working relationships.
So she has served on many ministry teams, boards, and planning groups such as Outdoor Ministry for the Ohio Conference,
she was the Ohio Representative to GLAUCE (Great Lakes Association of United Church Educators) for three years,
the Fall Youth Event fro the Ohio conference, etc.
The most important relationship is the one between God and each of us. Her energy and
enthusiasm is the spark to inspire others in using their gifts. She loves the idea of
church where we come together in our faith formation building relationships with each especially the youth and children.
